A little about me, Quiilty Biird.

For starters, I've been quilting for more than 25 years (and sewing for even longer than that!). I'm just getting started on my pattern designing, starting with mystery quilts for my local quilting groups. So far I've done 3 – one as an in-person one-day workshop, the other 2 as online mysteries within a Facebook Group. I’ve been a part of the local Hancock County Ice Quilting Derby for the last couple of years and designed their 2022 pattern Snowflakes and Ice Crystals where more than 70 people participated!

When we moved back home to Maine, I started looking at long arm quilting machines. Got one shortly thereafter, an A1 that I named MaCk, for my Aunt Marguerite and my Uncle Chuck – two of the most creative people I have had the honor of knowing in addition to being related to. I'm slowly getting practice on her. No computerization, just hand guided designs. I've gotten myself a nice little stash of pantographs to play with as well.

I've been involved with 3 of the local Pine Tree Quilt Guild chapters for the last few years, currently working with the board as an area representative for Area 5 which covers Eastern Maine .

If you don't know me, you'll soon find out that I'm a snarky, punny, cat-loving, Jeep-driving, weirdo. If you do know me, well, this isn't anything new. I am also a proud mom, loving (if not annoying) wife, and fierce friend.

Well, enough about me, let's talk about ME! 🙂

Did I forget to mention that I'm shy and introverted? Okay, in person (before I get to know you) I am. In pixels, however, all bets are OFF!

Want to know more about me? Ask away!
