A little about me, Quiilty Biird.

For starters, I've been quilting for more than 25 years (and sewing for even longer than that!). I'm just getting started on my pattern designing, starting with mystery quilts for my local quilting groups. So far I've done 3 – one as an in-person one-day workshop, the other 2 as online mysteries with a Facebook group. My furthest flung mystery quilt thus far has been the 2022 Hancock County Ice Quilting Derby – Snow Flakes and Ice Crystals. More than 70 people participated!

When we moved back home (for me, anyway) to Maine, I started looking at long arm machines. Got one shortly thereafter – my A1, MaCk – “Ma” for my Aunt Marguerite and “Ck” for my Uncle Chuck – two of the most creative people I have had the honor of being related to. I'm slowly getting practice on her. No computerization, just hand guided designs. I've gotten myself a nice little stash of pantographs to play with as well. Someday I might just be at a point where I'm willing to work on other people's stuff. And might even buy the software for computerized quilting.

If you don't know me, you'll soon find out that I'm a snarky, punny, cat-loving, Jeep-driving, weirdo. If you do know me, well, this isn't anything new. I am also a proud mom, loving (if not annoying) wife, and fierce friend.

Well, enough about me, let's talk about ME! 🙂

Did I forget to mention that I'm shy and introverted? Okay, in person (before I get to know you) I am. In pixels, however, all bets are OFF!

Want to know more about me? Ask away!
