Linus Blanketeers Get It Done!

Pine Tree Quilters Guild chapter, The Liberated YoYos, co-hosted a Project Linus Blanket Day event on Saturday Feb 18 with Quiilty Biird. Project Linus provides handmade blankets to children aged 0-18 in the United States who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. The 17 quilters who attended the all-day event, completed 13 quilt tops and got 6 quilts bound and made ready for labeling, the final step before given to children in need. 7 fully completed quilts were also donated to Project Linus on the day. The Liberated YoYos are based in Ellsworth at Quiilty Biird’s studio space. Quiilty Biird offers Open Sews and quilting/sewing related classes to local quilters.
