What is the difference between an Open Sew and a Walk In session?   The main difference is that an Open Sew is a scheduled sewing session - predetermined day and time for a set price.  A Walk In is just what it sounds like, you can walk in with your project and supplies to sew for as long as the studio is open provided that there is space available.

What does it cost to attend?  Open Sew sessions are priced individually based on how long they are and when they are.  They can range from $25 to $100.  Walk In sessions are $10 an hour charged in 15 minute increments.

Do I need to pre-register?  Open Sew sessions should be purchased from the website.  If it's the same day you plan to come in, you can reserve space or confirm availability with a phone call to Quiilty Biird.

What do I need to bring to an Open Sew or Walk In session?  You'll want all the things you'll need for your project.

What if I forget or run out of something?   Quiilty Biird carries Aurifil thread in neutral tones, Schmetz sewing machine needles, and a variety of notions and rulers.  There are also a large number of patterns available.

What kinds of projects can I bring?  You can bring just about anything!  Machine and hand sewing/quilting, crocheting, knitting, scrapbooking, macrame.  Have another kind of project you want to bring?  Call or email to see if it's okay to bring it to the studio.

What is included?  When you come in for an Open Sew or Walk In session you have a variety of things available for your use:  6 foot table, design wall, large cutting station, Big Board ironing station, rulers of many shapes and sizes, some specialty templates, and AccuQuilt die cutter and dies.
